Surat : In a remarkable display of resilience and determination, the Olympian girls continue their unending fight for justice at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. As their voices resonate across the nation, shedding light on the struggles faced by women in India, a parallel battle against injustice is unfolding in the heartland of Surat and Tapi districts.

Amidst the echoes of the Olympian girls’ demands for accountability, about 22 tribal women from the same region have embarked on their own long journey against Sumul Dairy. The reason behind their relentless fight? The sudden and unjust removal from their esteemed positions as supervisors by the Managing Director, Arun Purohit.

In an act of solidarity and resilience, these tribal women have gathered in Mandvi town, Surat district, to stage their protest and demand their rightful reinstatement in Sumul Dairy. They stand united, driven by the unwavering belief in their cause and the determination to fight against any form of injustice.

While the Olympian girls capture the attention of the nation, these tribal women have become torchbearers of change within their communities. Spearheading women savings schemes and empowering others, they have brought about visible transformations in the tribal regions of Surat and Tapi districts.

Resabhai V Chaudhary, a senior board member of the Surat-Tapi District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Limited (Sumul Dairy), has raised serious concerns over the arbitrary dismissal of these tribal women from their supervisor positions. Chaudhary has demanded answers from Managing Director Arun H Purohit, highlighting the breach of established procedures and the lack of authority to unilaterally dismiss employees.

Drawing parallels between the two movements, the Olympian girls and the tribal women share a common struggle for justice and equality. Their fight transcends geographical boundaries and unites them in a shared pursuit of dignity and fair treatment.

As the Olympian girls amplify their voices in Delhi, the tribal women’s battle rages on in Surat. The outcome of these movements has the potential to reshape societal norms, holding institutions accountable and ensuring that every individual’s rights are protected.

From the vibrant streets of New Delhi to the humble town of Mandvi, the spirit of resistance burns bright. As both movements gather momentum, the demand for justice resonates louder than ever, challenging the status quo and paving the way for a more equitable future.

The fight for justice continues, intertwined in the narratives of the Olympian girls and the tribal women, as they refuse to be silenced and strive to reclaim their rights and dignity in a society that demands justice for all.
