Teenage domestic girl beaten up, tortured and sexually assaulted by Gurgaon couple

New Delhi : A Gurgaon couple were arrested by the police for allegedly torturing and sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl who worked for them as a domestic help. The husband-wife duo have been sacked by their employers after the they were arrested on February 8 by the Gurgaon police.

Manish Khattar and his wife, Kamaljeet Kaur, both appeared in a city court the same day they were arrested. Khattar was ordered to spend two days in police remand, and his wife was placed in judicial custody.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Khattar, 36, worked as a deputy manager at Max Life Insurance in Gurgaon beginning in April 2021.

“At Max Life, we insist on the highest standards of integrity at all times. In response to a tweet from journalist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj, Max Life Insurance said, “We have severed the employment of the individual with immediate effect.”
