Congress to Expose Government Corruption at Rajkot Lok Mela
It is worth noting that the Rajkot Lok Mela Committee and administration have begun full-fledged preparations for the next five days of colourful Lok Mela
Rajkot : Former Congress MLA Indranil Rajyaguru has declared that they will set up a stall during Saurashtra’s largest public fair, the ‘Janmashtami Lok Mela’, which will take place in Rajkot in the last week of August. The stall will be set up to raise awareness of the horrific Rajkot RTP Game Zone fire, which killed 27 innocent people and exposed corruption and scandals within Rajkot’s administration and prominent authorities.
The Lok Mela will begin on the sixth day of the festival and extend for five days until Dasham in Rajkot. Tens of thousands of people from over Saurashtra attend the Lok Mela for five days. This Lok Mela has taken place every year for almost 50 years. Previously, the Mela Committee organised the fair; however, due to its increased size and crowd, the district administration now manages it. Janmashtami Lok Mela, one of Rajkot’s most anticipated events, is enthusiastically celebrated. Every year, people travel to Rajkot for this popular and rowdy mela, which features over 150 stores, rides, and merry-go-rounds, as well as other exciting events.
Rajkot former MLA Indranil Rajyaguru stated that the party will seek a stall at the next Janmashtami Lok Mela. On Thursday, an application will be presented to the District Collector for the Congress’ booth.
“We are seeking a delay to raise public awareness about the TRP Game Zone fire that occurred on May 25. If the government is putting up stalls at the Lok Mela, we have the right to set up a stall demanding justice for the victims of TRP Game Zone. If the government sets up a stand to celebrate, we will warn them about the mistake and corruption, as well as raise awareness among the public. Not only that, but we will raise awareness about man-made disasters during all festivals and celebrations,” Rajyaguru stated.
He further claimed that the SIT is protecting the main accused by arresting Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) town planner Mansukh Sagathia in the case. Sagathia has been apprehended, but the primary suspect is still at large. The bribe-taker is in; the bribe-giver is still out. There has been no action taken against the office bearers identified by Sagathia. According to the information we obtained, Rupapara has been identified, but the government has not taken any action against him. Why does it cover them? It’s not comprehended. We claim that the government is covering up not just one, but several people in this affair.
It is worth noting that the Rajkot Lok Mela Committee and administration have begun full-fledged preparations for the next five days of colourful Lok Mela. It is intended to distribute Lok Mela stalls and several types of rides between July 18th and July 25th. This time, both the number of stalls and the number of riding plots were reduced. Stalls have been cut by thirty percent. Lok Mela has thus far had 366 stalls, including toys and food. 80 stalls have been reduced this time. Aside from that, Lok Mela has 44 rides, 15 of which were reduced this season.
