GANDHINAGAR, GUJARAT : Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit the revered Somnath Temple in Prabhas Patan on May 31st, as the campaign for the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections concludes. Shah is expected to arrive at Rajkot Airport and may spend some time in the city before heading to the temple.

The visit to Somnath Temple, the first of the twelve Jyotirlingas, will see Shah performing darshan and pooja of Bhagwan Somnath. This visit is significant, coming just a day before the last and seventh phase of the parliamentary elections, which are set to take place on June 1st. The election campaign will officially end on May 30th.

In parallel with Shah’s visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Kanyakumari from May 30th to June 1st. During his stay, Modi is expected to meditate at the Dhyan Mandapam on the Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial, highlighting the spiritual undertones of these high-profile visits ahead of the crucial polling day.
