Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], September 12: Gujarati cinema is currently experiencing a golden phase, scaling new heights driven by content-focused storytelling and immense audience support. This growing enthusiasm for regional cinema provides a grand stage for every new release. Amidst this excitement, the official trailer for the highly anticipated feature film ‘Chatni’ was officially launched. Official Trailer Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtHqhDT1n0A Presented by Eforu Entertainment Limited and produced under the banner of A Buddhipriyay Pictures LLP Production, ‘Chatni’ is directed by renowned filmmaker Saandeep Patel. The trailer offers a charming glimpse into the sweet, tangy, and entertaining dynamics of relationships. It centers around Deval (played by Malhar Thakar), a young man determined to transform his family’s 125-year-old traditional culinary heritage and home-ground chutney recipe into a modern brand. Facing resistance from his traditionalist father, the challenges of city life, and initial business struggles, Deval strives to share the authentic taste handcrafted by his mother on a traditional grinding stone (sil-batta) with urban food lovers. Just as chutney elevates the flavor of an Indian meal, this film promises a rich blend of comedy, family emotions, romance, and wholesome entertainment bridging tradition with modernity. Marking a major highlight for fans, real-life couple Malhar Thakar and Puja Joshi share the screen as lead actors for the first time since their marriage. Their natural on-screen chemistry and endearing performances in the trailer are already winning hearts. Written by Saandeep Patel and Harsh Shodhan, the ensemble cast features Prashant Barot, Hetal Modi, Smit Joshi, Premal Yagnik, Manisha Trivedi, and Aakash Zala alongside Malhar and Puja. The project is backed by producers Prashant Modi, Nilesh Modi, Amit Vedawala, and Harsh Patel under Eforu Entertainment Limited and A Buddhipriyay Pictures LLP, with lead actors Malhar Thakar and Puja Joshi also serving as co-producers. India distribution is handled by Rupam, with OMG Pictures handling overseas distribution. Get ready to experience a heartwarming family entertainer when ‘Chatni’ hits cinemas nationwide on September 18, 2026.
