SGCCI delegation explore bilateral trade with Sri Lanka

SGCCI delegation including vice-president  Nikhil Madrasi, past President  Ramesh Vaghasia, Honorary secretary Nirav Mandlewala and Honorary Treasurer Mrunal Shukla met with leading exporters to discuss increasing bilateral trade between India and Sri Lanka.

SuratA delegation of the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) led by president Vijay Mewawala visited Sri Lanka and met with the leading exporters under the aegis of Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB). 

SGCCI delegation including vice-president  Nikhil Madrasi, past President  Ramesh Vaghasia, Honorary secretary Nirav Mandlewala and Honorary Treasurer Mrunal Shukla met with leading exporters to discuss increasing bilateral trade between India and Sri Lanka. 

SGCCI president Vijay Mewawala said, ‘Currently, India is making invaluable contributions in every field in the world and there are immense export opportunities in the country. With the priority given to start-ups in India, many new sectors have been created for exporters. India has emerged as a rapidly developing country in the world, and there are huge opportunities available in the trade and industry sector in the country.’

Vice President Nikhil Madrasi gave detailed information about the opportunities available in various sectors for Sri Lankan exporters in India. He also got information about the sectors that can be helpful for Indian exporters.

Ramesh Vaghasia gave a picture of how different countries of the world can work more towards development by connecting with each other.

EDB Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mangala Wijesinghe gave detailed information about the vibrant business landscape of Sri Lanka. He emphasized on the potential for increasing bilateral trade between India and Sri Lanka, especially in the field of exports.

The meeting focused on exploring mutual trade opportunities, promoting trade cooperation and identifying key areas that can boost economic growth for both the countries. The visit is an important step in strengthening economic ties and expanding trade partnership between India and Sri Lanka.

Nirav Mandlewala briefed on various export and investment opportunities available in Sri Lanka for young entrepreneurs.
