AMC Invites Citizen Suggestions for 2025-26 Budget

Ahmedabad : The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is giving citizens an opportunity to contribute to the planning of the city’s 2025-26 budget. In a public notice, AMC has invited residents to submit their suggestions for the upcoming financial year. The initiative underscores the corporation’s commitment to participatory governance and its efforts to make development inclusive.

How to Submit Suggestions

Residents can email their ideas to amcbudget202526@gmail.com by Friday, November 29. Submissions should include the sender’s name, address, and mobile number for identification.

Suggestions are encouraged to focus on essential civic amenities, such as Roads and footpaths,Drainage systems,Drinking water infrastructure etc.

AMC has previously sought public input for its budget. Two years ago, 10% of the suggestions received from citizens were integrated into the final budget. This demonstrates the corporation’s willingness to act on meaningful input from the community.

In the last budget cycle, the majority of suggestions revolved around upgrading drainage systems, repairing and widening roads, and enhancing city infrastructure. Additionally, residents from newly developed areas requested facilities such as swimming pools, gardens, community halls, and party plots.

For the 2025-26 budget, AMC is once again encouraging citizens to voice their priorities and ideas for city development. This collaborative approach aims to align municipal spending with the needs and aspirations of Ahmedabad’s residents.

By inviting suggestions, AMC seeks to ensure that the upcoming budget addresses critical issues while incorporating innovative ideas to improve the quality of life for citizens. Once all suggestions are reviewed, the finalized budget will be announced in the upcoming year.
