Gujarat : Three Minor Girls Drown in a village well in Panchmahal District

PANCHMAHAL,GUJARAT : Tragedy struck Pipalia village in Ghoghamba taluka in Panchmahal district, Gujarat as three minor girls drowned in a deep well while fetching water. The incident occurred as the girls, who were also grazing their goats, tried to save each other from drowning.
The victims have been identified as Kirti Vanraj Baria, 5, Saraswati Ajab Baria, 10, and Lalita Chhagan Baria, 12. Their bodies were retrieved from the well on Wednesday morning. Damavav police promptly arrived at the scene and registered a case of accidental death.
The girls were tending to their goats in the pastures near Pipalia village. Thirsty, they decided to fetch water from a nearby well. According to police reports, one of the girls slipped and fell into the deep water while attempting to draw water. In a desperate bid to save her, the other two girls jumped into the well, but tragically, all three drowned.
When the girls failed to return home by evening, their worried families began searching for them. They soon discovered the girls’ bodies in the well. The Damavav police were notified and quickly reached the scene. On Wednesday morning, the bodies were sent to Ghoghamba Referral Hospital for further procedures.
The incident has left the small village of Pipalia in shock and mourning.
