Samsung appears to be getting closer to the stable release of One UI 8.5, but the testing phase isn’t finished yet. The company is still rolling out fresh beta updates across devices, indicating that a bit more fine-tuning is underway before the official launch.

The latest devices to receive the update are the Samsung Galaxy A55, Samsung Galaxy A36, and Samsung Galaxy A35. These smartphones are now getting the second beta version of One UI 8.5.

Earlier in the day, Samsung also released the same beta version for its flagship lineup, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. Now, users enrolled in the beta program for the A-series models are receiving updated firmware versions  ZZDC for the A55, ZZD7 for the A36, and ZZD9 for the A35.

As expected from a mid-cycle beta update, the focus this time is on fixing issues rather than introducing new features. Samsung has addressed bugs related to the camera, Bluetooth connectivity, Quick Panel, navigation bar, and other system UI elements. The goal is clearly to improve stability and performance ahead of the final rollout.

One UI 8.5, which first debuted with the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, brings a more refined interface with subtle visual improvements and functional tweaks. It also includes updated camera capabilities, AI-powered tools, and general system enhancements.

If current reports are accurate, Samsung may begin rolling out the stable version to the Samsung Galaxy S25 series as early as April 30, starting in South Korea. Other regions are expected to follow shortly after.

As for the Galaxy A55, A36, and A35, users might have to wait a bit longer, with the stable update likely arriving around June. That said, Samsung has been known to surprise users with earlier releases, so timelines could still shift.
