Surat : A 32-year-old man, Rakesh Navapariya, employed as a manager with the Bandhan Bank at Surat’s Kapodara branch, was found dead in his residence on Thursday morning. The circumstances surrounding his death are shrouded in mystery as he was found hanging from a ceiling fan, an apparent suicide.

Navapariya, a resident of Sukhsagar apartment in Kapodara, left behind a suicide note written in Gujarati. The note read, “Sorry… brother, my one mistake caused a lot of problems for you all. Take care of my sister-in-law, and mother, and I will miss Vamsi a lot.”

The Kapodra police have registered the case as an accidental death and have launched an investigation. The suicide note, discovered at the scene, has provided a poignant insight into the deceased’s state of mind.

Navapariya hailed from Babra taluka in Amreli district in the Saurashtra region. He was unmarried and lived with his brother and sister-in-law at Kapodara. His professional life seemed stable as he held a managerial position at Bandhan Bank.

In his suicide note, Navapariya revealed that he had a life insurance cover of Rs 20 lakh with Bandhan Bank, an accidental death cover of Rs 20 lakh with SBI, and insurance on the HDFC bank home loan. This information has added another layer of complexity to the case.

The police have begun a thorough investigation into the matter.
