Surat : Travelers between Vadodara and Bharuch can now rejoice! The much-anticipated Vadodara-Bharuch stretch of the Delhi-Mumbai greenfield national expressway has been inaugurated, offering a faster, safer, and smoother travel experience.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the 85-kilometer highway on Thursday, marking a significant milestone in improving connectivity between the two cities. The expressway allows a maximum speed of 120 km/h, with an average achievable speed of 90 km/h, significantly reducing travel time between Vadodara and Bharuch to just 40 minutes.

Ensuring safety, the expressway is equipped with a camera system that automatically detects and deducts fines from the Fastag balance of vehicles exceeding the speed limit. Currently, the highway is toll-free, but toll collection is expected to commence within a month.

Accessing the Expressway:

Motorists can access the new expressway from three convenient entry points:

Vadodara-Ahmedabad Expressway: Travelers from Ahmedabad can utilize the National Expressway 01 connecting the two cities and cross the Mahi river bridge. Before reaching Vadodara, an approach road will lead them onto the Bharuch expressway.

Vadodara: From Vadodara, reach Bhayli and proceed towards Samiyala, where the expressway entrance is located.

Nandesari/Vasad/Ahmedabad-Vadodara Highway: Travelers approaching from Nandesari, Vasad, or the other Ahmedabad-Vadodara highway can reach Fajalpur, Rayka, and the Ravines Eco Park area near the Mahi river. This area provides access to the Bharuch expressway.

Similarly, exiting the expressway from Bharuch is straightforward. Simply reach the Dahegam-Manubar area and take the designated exit towards Vadodara.

The inauguration of the Vadodara-Bharuch expressway marks a significant step towards enhancing regional connectivity and promoting economic growth in the area. With its focus on speed, safety, and convenience, the expressway is poised to transform travel experiences for residents and commuters alike.
