Swarrnim University Concludes Heartfulness Relaxation and Meditation Session

Ahmedabad : Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University recently announced the successful conclusion of the Heartfulness Relaxation and Meditation sessions, conducted at the university campus in Adalaj, Gandhinagar. The heartfulness meditation sessions, aimed at promoting mental well-being and holistic development of students, were conducted by esteemed Preceptor Brother Phool Kumar Saluja and his assistant, sister Pooja Saluja.

Some 232 students from various disciplines in the university including BHMS, BAMS, BPT, B.Tech, B.Pharm and BBA, participated in the session. Heartfulness is a 100-year-old tradition that continues to evolve with the times, integrating scientific inquiry and time-honoured contemplative practices.

The event featured five engaging sessions, each lasting between 30 to 40 minutes. During these, students were introduced to various techniques of Heartfulness Meditation and Relaxation. This practice, which emphasises relaxation, self-awareness, and inner peace, has proven to be a valuable tool for managing stress and enhancing focus among people across age-groups. Thus forth, Dr Shashikant Bhagat, Head, School of Journalism & Mass Communication and Department of Liberal Arts, Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University will continue to coordinate and facilitate these sessions is support of University Students Council for all the students of the university every week on Thursday.

During the session, participants were guided through a series of relaxation exercises and meditation practices designed to help them connect with their inner selves and cultivate a sense of peace.

The Heartfulness Meditation Method, known for its simplicity and effectiveness, has been integrated into various university activities, including the recent convocation ceremony.

Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, with many students expressing a renewed sense of calm and clarity following the sessions.
