Couple Crushed by Speeding Truck on Jamnagar-Khambhaliya Highway

A devastating accident took place near Sikka Patiya on the Jamnagar-Khambhaliya highway when a truck, traveling at high speed, mercilessly crushed a husband and wife riding a motorcycle. The collision was so severe that the couple died instantly. The impact of the accident was so horrifying that authorities had to use shovels to collect the remains of the victims.

The accident led to a massive traffic jam on the highway, bringing vehicular movement to a standstill. Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene, cleared the congestion, and initiated legal action against the truck driver. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the accident and whether the driver was under the influence or violating traffic rules.

Four Killed in Truck-Pickup Collision in Surat District

In another tragic incident, a deadly collision between a truck and a pickup Bolero occurred around 1:30 am on the Mandvi-Jhankhvav road near Sathwav village in Mandvi taluka, Surat district. The impact was so severe that one passenger in the pickup died on the spot, while three others succumbed to their injuries during treatment. Several others sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical care at Mandvi’s referral hospital.

Preliminary reports indicate that the victims hailed from Songadh taluka in Tapi district. They had traveled to Umarpada taluka to attend a relative’s wedding and were on their way back home when tragedy struck. The Mandvi police responded promptly to the accident site, registering a case and beginning further investigations.
