Shri Yashwant Mehta and Shri Ramesh Tanna inaugurated the AMAzing Children’s Book Fair 2024 of AMA

AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT : AMAzing summer workshops for schools and college students of an age-group of 5 to 24 years are scheduled from 15th April to 15 June, 2024 at AMA. As part of the summer programs, AMA has organized “AMAzing Children’s Book Fair 2024” from Thursday to Sunday, 16 to 19 May, 2024.

The Chief Guest Shri Yashwant Mehta, Renowned and Award Winning Children Writer, Founder Convener of Balsahitya Akademy, and the Guest of Honour Shri Ramesh Tanna, Renowned Writer, Journalist, Speaker inaugurated the AMAzing Children’s Book Fair 2024 at AMA and interacted with the media representatives.  In the age of digital revolution and an information explosion, the habit of reading has been replaced by the habit of watching IT gadgets. In children, still publishers and writers are getting a good response and books are enjoying warm touch by youngsters. But, in adults the books are struggling.

Yashwant Mehta shared insights from his experience. He said that facilitating a welcoming and rewarding culture to writers is necessary and plays an important role in developing the nation through cultivating a habit of reading. Various learned organizations in this field should work jointly and extend support to children writers and literature.

Ramesh Tanna remembered Vinoba Bhave and how his parents played an important role in integrating books in his life. Today technology has been affecting parenting and children are natured by technology instead of parents. Giving love, gifting books and keeping children near to nature are three pillars for enhancing creativity and successful parenting. Books are an alternative for digital devices. Reading books is an exercise to the brain by making the mind active.

The Book Fair will remain open to the public from Friday to Sunday, 17 to 19 May, 2024 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. and books will be available in Hindi, Gujarati, and English languages. In order to promote reading, on this occasion readers will get special discounts.
