MG Lions Bhojpuri Dabanggs defeat Bengal Tigers to advance to the CCL semi-finals

Trivandrum : The Bhojpuri Dabanggs, the CCL team that represents the Bhojpuri film industry, advanced to the semifinals on Sunday after a convincing win over the Bengal Tigers.

Manoj Tiwary, captain of the Bhojpuri Dabanggs, won the toss and elected to bat first after the team. After being sent into bat first, the Bengal Tigers were quickly bowled out for 59 runs in only 9.5 overs.

In response, Pravesh Yadav scored 57 and Aditya Ojha added 30 runs as the Bhojpuri Dabanggs posted 116 for 5 in their allotted ten overs.

In their second innings after 10 years, Bengal Tigers improved their performance by reaching 105 runs while losing only two wickets. As captain, Jisshu Sengupta performed a brilliant inning, scoring 68 runs off of 30 balls. Bhojpuri Dabanggs chased down the 49 runs they needed to win in 10 overs in a little over half that time. Unfortunately, this resulted in the loss of five wickets for the side. With the victory, Bhojpuri Dabanggs advanced to the semi-finals.

Manoj Tiwary, captain of the Bhojpuri Dabanggs, was the top bowler, while Jisshu Sengupta, captain of the opposing team, was the top batsman. Pravesh Yadav, who plays for the Bhojpuri Dabanggs, was selected as the game’s MVP.

“I am very happy with the way the team played. The bowlers did an excellent job to restrict Bengal Tigers to just 59 runs in the first innings. Our batters, too, responded perfectly with a big score in the first innings. The Bengal Tigers team put up a great effort in their second innings, but we were always confident of winning. We are glad to have made it to the semifinal and are confident of reaching the finals and lifting the winner’s trophy,” said Manoj Tiwary, Captain of Bhojpuri Dabanggs.
