Kolkata (West Bengal) : Chaitali Das, internationally acclaimed Indian Social Entrepreneur & Philanthropist presented ‘I❤️ KOLKATA ‘ printed Eco-friendly bags from her label ‘ Jute Story ‘ souvenirs from the beautiful city of joy to the Manipuri Polo players who participated at the KOLKATA POLO SEASON 2022.

Some of the finest teams of the Indian Army including teams from Army Service Crops, Arty, Armoured Crops, RVC, and 61 Cavalry participated from across India at the world’s oldest polo ground in Pat Williamson Polo Ground at the Royal Kolkata Turf Club. The polo season started from 20 Dec till 31st Dec 2022 under the aegis of ST Br, HQ Eastern Command.
The polo team from Manipur competed in a friendly exhibition game. All eyes were on the Manipuri polo players as they wowed spectators with their spectacular displays of traditional ritual and dress. Each player wears a white “dhoti” tucked in just above the knees and a head guard or large white turban held in place by a “khadangchet,” a chin strap that protects the calves. The “khunningkhang,” a piece of leather cloth, is wrapped around the ankles when shoes are not worn. Knee pads and shin guards are worn.
