Surat | Gujarat — A shocking case of juvenile violence has surfaced in Surat, where a Class 10 student was brutally stabbed by four minors near a school gate in the Pandesara area, leaving him seriously injured and unable to appear for his board examination.

The violent attack reportedly took place near Galaxy Army International School, close to Karmayogi Society. According to police, the victim had gone to attend a school function with his mother when he was confronted by a group of students who allegedly held a grudge against him from a previous argument.

Witnesses said the attackers stopped the teenager on the road and began beating him. During the assault, one of the minors allegedly pulled out a sharp knife and stabbed the boy three times in the back and stomach, leaving him bleeding on the ground.

The injured student was rushed to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. However, due to his critical condition and hospitalization, he could not appear for his Class 10 board examination, raising fears that he may lose an academic year.

The victim’s father has made a startling allegation regarding the attack. He claimed the accused minors had ordered the knife from an e-commerce platform, suggesting the assault may have been pre-planned.

“My son only confronted them earlier over a minor dispute. They allegedly bought weapons online and attacked him with revenge in mind. The easy availability of such weapons is encouraging violent behaviour among minors,” the father said.

Following the incident, police from Pandesara Police Station acted quickly and detained all four accused students, who are minors and legally classified as children in conflict with the law.

Police officials confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine where the weapon was sourced from and whether it was actually purchased online.

The attack has triggered anger and concern among the victim’s family and local residents, who are demanding strict legal action against the accused.

Meanwhile, the injured teenager remains under medical observation as doctors monitor his recovery. Authorities said further legal proceedings will be carried out in accordance with juvenile justice laws while the investigation into the incident continues.
