Gandhinagar : According to reports, the Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) is planning to go paperless for competitive tests, delegating the task to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

This change comes in the wake of a spate of paper leaks during competitive examinations, which have not only put the state administration in a difficult situation but also hampered ambitious applicants.

This decision was motivated by the frequent need to postpone examinations in order to reduce leaks and simplify the testing procedure. The board will dynamically choose exam days under the new method depending on the number of applicants who participate.

In large numbers, written examinations will last two to three days, with each delivering a minimum of three unique paper sets. Candidates will take online exams, with a maximum of 15,000 examinees at a time.

The first use of these online tests would be during the Forest Beat Guard recruitment, which will have 4.5 lakh candidates. This written test, which is expected to last at least a week, announces the beginning of this new assessment approach.
