To avoid any possible disturbance in the city, increased security measures have been implemented as a result of the arrest and the approaching arrival of the suspect.

On the 4th of February, Mufti Azhari was brought into custody from Ghatkopar by a squad consisting of officials from the Gujarat and Mumbai ATS, as well as the Mumbai police. This came about as a result of the Junagadh B-division police registering a complaint against him based on a video clip that went viral of his sermon at the Narsinh School, where he reportedly made words that were deemed to be offensive.

The video’s widespread dissemination across social media channels sparked indignation and demands for the Mufti to be held accountable for his actions. In light of this, the authorities moved rapidly to initiate an inquiry, which ultimately resulted in his arrest.

The Ahmedabad police have deployed strict security measures around the city in anticipation of probable demonstrations or responses that may occur upon the arrival of Mufti Azhari. “We are taking all necessary precautions to maintain law and order,” stated a senior official from the Gujarat Ambulance Service (ATS).
once arriving in Ahmedabad, Mufti Azhari will be turned over to the Junagadh B-division police for further interrogation and investigation. This will take place once he has been handed over. In order to better comprehend the motivations behind his remarks, the police want to collect further evidence.

The authorities are taking a cautious approach and have reassured the people that they are committed to preserving peace and order in the community.Road transport was used by ATS to transport Mufti Salman Azhari from Mumbai to Gujarat.
