Ahmedabad : Late last night, a tragic incident unfolded in Rupesh Society, located in the Vejalpur area of Ahmedabad, as a 36-year-old man named Digvijay Singh, also known as Bholo Rajput, lost his life in an accidental firing. Preliminary investigations conducted by the police have revealed that Digvijay Singh accidentally discharged his licensed revolver, resulting in a fatal wound to his head.

Upon receiving reports of the incident, a police team swiftly arrived at Rupesh Park Society to conduct further inquiries into the matter. The sequence of events leading to the untimely demise of Digvijay Singh has shed light on the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.

Digvijay Singh, who worked as a land broker, was spending time in his newly constructed bungalow within Rupesh Park Society, accompanied by his driver, Satyadeep Vaidya, and a female acquaintance. In what appeared to be a moment of playfulness, Digvijay Singh loaded his revolver with bullets and placed it on his lap. However, the situation took a devastating turn when he inadvertently triggered the loaded cartridge, causing the fatal gunshot wound to his head.

The presence of alcohol at the scene has prompted the police to investigate the possibility of Digvijay Singh being under the influence at the time of the incident. Statements from witnesses, including the deceased’s driver, have indicated that Digvijay Singh had a habit of consuming alcohol, raising concerns about his state of intoxication contributing to the accident.

In response to the tragic occurrence, authorities, including the Vejalpur Police and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, promptly arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough investigation. Statements from witnesses, including the driver Satyadeep Vaidya, have been recorded to ascertain the events leading up to the incident.

The police have also initiated inquiries into the involvement of Digvijay Singh’s companions at the time of the incident. Suspicions linger regarding the possible roles of the driver and the female acquaintance in the handling of the revolver, prompting authorities to delve deeper into their potential involvement.

As the investigation progresses, authorities remain committed to uncovering the truth behind the tragic accident and ensuring that justice is served for Digvijay Singh. The incident serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers associated with the mishandling of firearms and underscores the importance of exercising caution and responsibility when dealing with such weapons.
