METAS Adventist College Finishes Runner-Up in GTU Volleyball

SURAT :  METAS Adventist College has added a major sporting achievement to its record, finishing runner-up in the Gujarat Technological University (GTU) Inter-Zonal Volleyball Tournament held on September 7, 2026, at Sat Kaival College of Pharmacy, Sarsa.

The college volleyball team delivered a determined performance throughout the tournament, displaying teamwork, discipline and competitive spirit while taking on strong teams from across the GTU Inter-Zonal level.

Adding to the college’s achievement, two METAS Adventist College students were recognised with individual honours for their performances. They received the Best Blocker and Best Attacker awards, further highlighting the team’s strength and talent.

The accomplishment reflects the institution’s focus on holistic student development, with sports being given importance alongside academics, leadership and character building.

Principal, President and CEO Dr Anilkumar Chillimuntha, along with the college management, faculty and students, congratulated the volleyball team and the award-winning players.

The college management praised the players for their dedication and perseverance, saying the achievement was a reflection of their commitment and sporting excellence.

The runner-up finish and individual awards have brought recognition to METAS Adventist College and underlined the institution’s growing sporting credentials.
