Surat : The Surat International Auto Expo 2024, touted as the second-biggest composite auto expo in India after New Delhi, is all set to rev up from March 15th. Organized by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC) in Sarsana, this four-day event promises to be a dazzling display of the latest advancements and trends in the automotive industry.

Gujarat BJP president CR Paatil will inaugurate the expo in the esteemed presence of E Rajeev, Executive Director of the International Automobile Center of Excellence (iACE), and Car and Bike India Editor Girish Karkera.

“This mega automotive show serves as a testament to Gujarat’s growing prominence as a hub for the automobile industry,” said Ramesh Vaghasia, President of SGCCI. Leading auto companies from across the country will be showcasing their latest offerings, including cars, two-wheelers, commercial vehicles, auto accessories, spare parts, and workshop machinery.

The Surat International Auto Expo holds the distinction of being the largest composite exhibition in Western India. It provides a valuable platform for industrialists, professionals, and entrepreneurs to explore the newest technologies and trends shaping the future of automobiles.

Mehul Desai, Chairman of Surat International Auto Expo 2024, echoed the expo’s significance. “The Surat International Auto Expo consistently garners a tremendous response,” he remarked. This year is no exception, with nearly 90 national and international auto companies participating.

Visitors can expect to see a wide range of four-wheeler brands, including premium names like Mini Cooper, Audi, Mercedes, BMW, and established players like Tata Motors, Toyota, and Hyundai. This diverse showcase encompasses electric and hybrid vehicles across various segments, offering a glimpse into the future of sustainable mobility.

The expo will witness the much-anticipated Indian debut of the BYD Seal car, launched just last week. This marks a first for any auto expo in the country. Additionally, a motor home/vanity manufacturing company will be showcasing its products for the very first time at the Surat International Auto Expo.

The two-wheeler segment boasts renowned names like BMW Motorrad, Triumph, TVS, and Yamaha, alongside established Indian brands like Bajaj and Hero.  For commercial vehicles, Tata, Eicher, Force Motors, and Mahindra will be present. The ancillary segment will also see participation from numerous national and international companies.

In a unique initiative, the expo will introduce dedicated demo areas for exhibitors. This allows potential customers to experience specific car models firsthand before making purchase decisions, a novelty rarely seen at Indian auto expos.
