GANDHINAGAR : Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has achieved a remarkable average passenger satisfaction rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars after expanding its QR-code-based feedback system across the state’s public transport network. The initiative, introduced on a pilot basis in March 2025, has now become a key tool for improving passenger services and ensuring accountability.
The achievement reflects the growing trust of commuters in Gujarat’s public transport system. According to GSRTC’s Passenger Feedback Report covering March 1 to June 19, 2026, feedback from 3,13,824 passengers revealed high levels of satisfaction across major service parameters, including safety, cleanliness, punctuality, seating comfort, and staff behaviour.
Under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, GSRTC has focused on making public transport safer, more efficient, and passenger-centric. What began as a digital feedback facility in premium luxury buses has now been expanded to more than 8,000 buses, 125 bus stations, and depot control points across the state.
Passengers can simply scan a QR code during their journey and submit real-time feedback through their mobile phones, enabling the corporation to identify issues quickly and improve services.
“GSRTC is not merely collecting feedback; it is actively acting on it. All complaints, suggestions, and issues reported by passengers are promptly forwarded to the concerned departments and local bus depots. The feedback is verified without delay, and necessary corrective measures are taken on the ground. We are committed to providing commuters with the best possible public transport services,” said Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi.
The report highlights exceptional ratings in key categories, with staff behaviour and passenger safety both scoring 4.9 stars, while cleanliness, seating comfort, and punctuality each received 4.8 stars.
A senior GSRTC official said passenger feedback has become an essential tool for continuous improvement, helping the corporation deliver safe, reliable, and commuter-friendly transportation services across Gujarat.
