Apple is reportedly preparing to expand its hardware lineup significantly as its AI strategy evolves, potentially introducing three new product categories powered by Apple Intelligence and its upgraded Foundation Models.

According to industry reports, Apple’s upcoming AI roadmap may lead to entirely new device types designed for smart home and connected living environments.
1. Home Hub Smart Display (Modular Tablet System)
Apple is expected to launch a new “Home Hub” device, described as a modular smart display that could function as a central home control unit. The device is rumored to come in multiple sizes, including a 7-inch base version and a larger 9-inch variant.
The Home Hub may feature magnetic mounting options, allowing it to attach to walls, speaker bases, or stands. The concept suggests a flexible smart tablet that users can move around the home and dock into different accessories.
2. Tabletop AI Robot Variant
A more advanced version of the Home Hub is also rumored, potentially featuring a robotic arm or enhanced motion-based interaction. This model is expected to use Apple Intelligence more heavily, acting as a central “AI brain” for the home.
It may also support user recognition and contextual awareness, adjusting responses based on who is interacting with it.
3. Smart Doorbell / Security Camera System
Apple is also said to be working on a new smart doorbell camera, which would integrate deeply with its ecosystem. It is expected to upgrade existing HomeKit Secure Video features with improved facial recognition powered by Apple Intelligence.
When a known person arrives, the system could identify them and announce their name through connected HomePods or devices.
