Gurugram : Ampath (American Institute of Pathology & Laboratory Sciences Pvt Ltd) has launched its first reference laboratory in Gurgaon as part of its North India development ambitions. This is the organization’s second reference lab in India. The 7000-square-foot laboratory is outfitted with cutting-edge technology platforms capable of producing high-quality results in a short Turn-Around-Time (TAT). The reference lab will function as an autonomous ecosystem for Delhi and the adjacent North Indian states.

The newly opened pathology facility offers a comprehensive menu of over 2,500 tests, all of which are done under the supervision of highly qualified pathologists. Among the diagnostic tests offered by the lab are Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Flow Cytometry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, Immunology, Microbiology, Cytology, Histopathology, Immunohistochemistry, Molecular Diagnosis, NGS, and Cytogenetics. These services aid in the diagnosis and identification of many illnesses affecting various organs and areas of the body, which is critical for the physician in determining the treatment regimen. Ampath is proposing a collection centre approach in the northern geography to make excellent diagnostics services accessible to consumers even in the most distant places.

“We are extremely delighted and pleased to announce the launch of our newest lab in Gurgaon,” said Dr Maneesh Bagai, Chief Operating Officer of Ampath. We are happy to have extended our presence in one of the major marketplaces and will now be able to serve the people in and around Gurgaon with our automated & best-in-class, sophisticated test profiles with high quality standards, as part of attaining our objective. Ampath is in the forefront of providing evidence-based, patient-centered healthcare throughout South Asia. In all of our endeavours, we seek to give first-rate services, innovation, and quality-driven outcomes.”

Dr. Pankaj Karwa, Ampath’s Head of Lab Operations, said, “We are thrilled to be opening a new lab and expanding our presence in the North, where we will offer a wide range of diagnostic tests.” With high-tech equipment and a team of competent specialists, we intend to provide excellent and upgraded healthcare services to our consumers on a consistent and efficient basis.”

Ampath maintains a Central Reference Laboratory in Hyderabad, as well as 14 satellite laboratories spread around the country. It is NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) accredited and has collaborated with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre (UPMC), one of the top ranked hospitals in the United States, allowing Ampath’s technical team to collaborate with the world’s leading clinicians to help them deliver on comprehensive lab services. It is the only Indian lab that has the honour of working with a renowned worldwide medical organisation. It has successfully maintained compliance with worldwide standards in testing processes and quality protocols devised under the professional direction of UPMC. Ampath, which is working hard to achieve its aim of offering world-class services and precise diagnosis, has a number of initiatives in the works to help it expand across different geographical boundaries in India.
