Adani Total Gas welcomes Gujarat Government’s decision to reduce VAT on CNG and PNG, CNG rates in Gujarat reduced up to Rs 7.82 per kg

Ahmedabad: Adani Total Gas has welcome the Gujarat Government’s decision to reduce Value Added Tax (VAT) from 15 percent to 5 percent on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG). With this, the CNG prices have been reduced in the range of  Rs 7.32 to Rs 7.82 per kilogram at the CNG stations operated by Adani Total Gas across Gujarat, effective October 18.

This intervention helps the CGD (City Gas Distribution) industry to moderate the prices of CNG and Home PNG and lighten the burden on both CNG and domestic gas consumers.

In line with their consistent consumer-first policy, Adani Total Gas has passed on the complete benefit of this VAT reduction to end consumers. With effect from 18 October 2022, the price of CNG has been reduced by up to 7.82 / kg for consumers in Gujarat.

From the same date, Home PNG consumers too will receive the full benefit of this VAT reduction. This reduction in gas prices will result in considerable savings for the lakhs of consumers Adani Total Gas serves in Gujarat.

The CNG price in Ahmedabad has been reduced f Rs 86.9 per kilogram to Rs 79.34 per kilogram, Vadodarafrom from Rs 84.15 per kg to Rs 76.83 per kg, Porbandar from Rs 89.9 per kg to Rs 82.08 per kg, Kheda from Rs 87.9 per kg to Rs 80.26 per kg, Surendranagar from Rs 87.9  per kg to Rs 80.26 per kg, Barwala from Rs 87.9 per kg to Rs 80.26 per kg.

ATGL supplies PNG to Domestic, Commercial, Industrial, and CNG across the country with 5.6 lakhs plus Domestic Customers, 4,000 plus commercial customers,1800 industrial customers and 349 CNG stations.
