Gandhinagar | Gujarat — Gujarat’s ambitions of becoming a global technology and innovation hub received a major boost on Friday as Hexaware Technologies inaugurated its new Delivery Centre in GIFT City, Gandhinagar. The facility is expected to generate significant employment opportunities in emerging technology sectors and further strengthen the state’s rapidly growing digital economy.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the state-of-the-art centre, located on the 7th and 8th floors of the Pragya-II Building in GIFT City. The launch marks a significant milestone in Gujarat’s efforts to attract global technology investments and create high-value jobs for skilled professionals.

The new centre will focus on cutting-edge domains including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, data analytics, automation and digital transformation. Industry experts believe the facility will play a crucial role in positioning GIFT City as a leading destination for advanced technology services and innovation-driven enterprises.

“Hexaware’s investment reflects the growing confidence of global technology companies in Gujarat’s business ecosystem and skilled workforce,” officials said during the inauguration. “The centre will create new opportunities for talented youth and contribute to the state’s technology-led growth.”

Hexaware Technologies is among the world’s leading digital and technology service providers, delivering advanced solutions across sectors such as banking, financial services, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, retail, travel and transportation. With operations spanning multiple countries, the company serves clients worldwide through technology-driven innovation.

According to company projections, the new delivery centre has the potential to create approximately 1,000 highly skilled jobs over the next three years. The investment is expected to enhance employment prospects for engineers, data professionals, software developers and specialists in emerging technologies.

“GIFT City is rapidly evolving into a global hub for innovation, finance and technology,” company representatives noted. “The new centre will help drive digital transformation initiatives while contributing to Gujarat’s economic development.”

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Gandhinagar Mayor Miraben Patel, Hexaware Technologies CEO and Executive Director R. Srikrishna, Chief Financial Officer Vikas Kumar Jain, along with senior company officials and employees.

The addition of another global technology player to GIFT City underscores Gujarat’s growing appeal as a destination for innovation, investment and future-ready employment opportunities.
