Gandhinagar | Gujarat — As states across India compete to attract the next wave of industrial investment, Gujarat is preparing to unveil a new roadmap aimed at reinforcing its position as the country’s premier business destination. The Gujarat Government will launch its much-anticipated Industrial Policy 2026 on June 15 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, setting the stage for the state’s next phase of economic and industrial growth.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will officially unveil the policy in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi and senior government officials. The policy is expected to provide a comprehensive framework for accelerating industrial development, attracting fresh investments, fostering innovation and creating large-scale employment opportunities.
Officials said the new industrial policy has been designed to build on Gujarat’s strong industrial foundation while addressing the needs of rapidly evolving sectors. The framework is expected to focus on ease of doing business, advanced manufacturing, technology adoption, startup growth, MSME support and investments in emerging industries.
“The policy will provide a forward-looking roadmap that aligns industrial growth with innovation, sustainability and employment generation,” government sources indicated ahead of the launch. “It aims to strengthen Gujarat’s competitiveness in both domestic and global markets.”
Over the years, Gujarat has established itself as a preferred destination for investors due to its robust infrastructure, efficient governance, strategic connectivity and business-friendly environment. The state has consistently attracted significant domestic and foreign investments across sectors ranging from manufacturing and chemicals to renewable energy and technology.
Industry stakeholders are closely watching the upcoming announcement, expecting fresh incentives and policy measures that could encourage expansion projects and new investments. The policy is also anticipated to support the state’s ambition of becoming a hub for high-value manufacturing and future-ready industries.
“Gujarat has consistently demonstrated its ability to adapt to changing industrial trends,” experts said. “The new policy is expected to further enhance investor confidence and accelerate economic growth.”
With the official launch scheduled for June 15, the Gujarat Industrial Policy 2026 is poised to become a key driver of investment, innovation and job creation, shaping the state’s industrial landscape for years to come.
