New Delhi [India], September 2: At 76, Mrs. Rungeen Singh proves that age is no barrier to creativity, conviction, or contribution. A revered English teacher for over five decades and a prolific writer for more than thirty years, she now adds another remarkable title to her literary legacy with the release of her latest novel, Beating Hearts.

With a Master’s in English Literature and an LLB degree, Mrs. Singh began her journey into writing with the goal of reaching out to the world beyond her classroom. She fondly recalls the moment her first book was published, describing it as one of the most euphoric and empowering milestones in her life. Since then, she has authored over 200 books across genres and age groups, from toddlers to adults, and has published more than 800 articles, poems, and stories in renowned magazines and newspapers.

Beating Hearts tells the life story of Daya—a woman who embodies the virtues of compassion, selflessness, and resilience. The novel captures her inner and outer battles as she sacrifices her personal desires for the well-being of her family, and later, stands up as a voice for the helpless. It is a touching commentary on societal expectations, especially those placed upon women, and the emerging shift towards empowerment and self-actualization.

The inspiration behind this novel stems from Mrs. Singh’s reflections on the traditional value system that often hinders women from pursuing their dreams. She uses fiction as a mirror to highlight how times are changing—and how crucial it is to allow women to live by their own choices, not mere conventions.

Currently, Mrs. Singh is delving into the richness of India’s ancient Hindu cultural heritage, seeking to preserve and share the wisdom that risks fading into oblivion. Her message to budding writers is crystal clear: “Don’t give up your passion for writing, even if you face repeated rejections.”

As a passionate advocate for literature, she also appeals to the younger generation to revive the dying habit of reading books. Beating Hearts is more than a story—it is a call to action for introspection, compassion, and courage. Her poignant work is available through her official website.
