Ahmedabad : Hadad village in Banaskantha district in Gujarat finds itself engulfed in turmoil after reports emerged of a horrifying crime allegedly perpetrated against a Hindu youth by individuals from the Muslim community. The incident, described as an act of sodomy lasting a week, has sparked outrage and mobilized locals into demanding stringent action against the accused perpetrators.

According to statements issued by the Hindu organization Bajrang Dal Gujarat, the victim, who had adorned the guise of Hanuman on the day of Ramlala Prana Pratishtha at the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya, was reportedly apprehended by Muslim youth in Hadad village. Subsequently, he was subjected to a week-long ordeal of gang rape, purportedly as a punishment for assuming the role of Hanuman.

Expressing deep-seated anguish and solidarity, the business community of Hadad village shuttered market operations in protest against the heinous crime. Members of Sangh and Bajrang Dal, alongside outraged villagers, took to the streets in a display of collective dissent against the perpetrators.

Amidst escalating tensions, initial attempts to seek recourse through legal channels faced resistance as local police purportedly hesitated to file a First Information Report (FIR), suggesting resolution through compromise. However, steadfast in their pursuit of justice, Hindu community members rallied to the local police station, compelling authorities to register a formal complaint.

In a remarkable show of solidarity, the Muslim community, led by Deputy Sarpanch Iqbal Mansuri, convened a meeting to denounce the reprehensible act and extend support to the ongoing protests. Their unequivocal condemnation of the incident and commitment to cooperation with law enforcement authorities underscored a collective desire for justice and communal harmony.
