Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024 Shatters Records with Rs 26.33 lakh crore investment

Gandhinagar: The 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, held in the auspicious “Amritkal” period, has rewritten the playbook for economic growth, shattering records with a staggering Rs. 26.33 lakh crore in MoUs signed for 41,299 projects. This monumental achievement marks the culmination of a remarkable 20-year journey for Gujarat, solidifying its position as a global investment hub and a “Gateway to the Future.”

Rushikesh Patel, Gujarat Government spokesperson said,  “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit has scaled new heights. This year’s record-breaking MoUs represent not just financial commitments, but a vote of confidence in Gujarat’s vibrant entrepreneurial spirit and its potential to drive India’s economic engine.”

Patel further elaborated, “From 2019 to 2024, Gujarat has secured a total of Rs. 45.20 lakh crore in MoUs for 98,540 projects, a testament to the state’s unwavering commitment to attracting investments and fostering sustainable growth. Over 135 foreign companies, including 100 Fortune 500 giants, have chosen Gujarat as their home, highlighting the state’s investor-friendly environment and robust infrastructure.”

The summit’s theme, “Gateway to the Future,” resonated throughout its three days, showcasing Gujarat’s strategic focus on emerging sectors like semiconductors, e-mobility, green hydrogen, renewable energy, and new-age technologies. The participation of over 61,000 delegates from 140 countries, 150 seminars, 2,862 B2B meetings, and 1,368 B2G meetings underscored the summit’s global appeal and its role as a catalyst for business partnerships.

The summit’s success wasn’t limited to deals and conferences. India’s largest trade show, spread over 2 lakh square meters and featuring pavilions from over 20 countries, attracted over 3 lakh visitors. More than 450 MSMEs, startups, and women entrepreneurs showcased their innovations, creating a vibrant ecosystem for entrepreneurial exchange.

A 360-degree projection, life-size models of Chandrayaan, AI and robotics displays, and immersive technology experiences on the theme of “Gateway to the Future” captivated audiences, showcasing Gujarat’s commitment to cutting-edge advancements.
