Landowners Jayesh Patel and Karthik Patel have made a serious allegation that Ayush Oak and Chitnish Mamlatdar Jignesh Jivani demanded Rs.50 lakh for approving Non-Agriculture (NA) permission for the land of Block No. 201 located at Palanpore in Surat.

The land owners have filed a written complaint to the Gujarat’s Additional Secretary of Revenue Department and Surat District Collector with the allegation against Oak and Mamlatdar Jignesh Jivani for creating confusion in the application for NA permission and demanding Rs 50 lakh for the same.

Although the land titles of the two brothers are the same, the land of one block number was ordered to be converted to NA in 2018 due to the old condition. When the application was made to transfer the land with the second block number to NA, the application was submitted to the office as the premium was payable stating that this land was of new condition.

The land bearing survey number 150/1, block number 201 of Palanpore area of Adajan is held in the name of Jayesh Magarbhai Patel and Karthik Maganbhai Patel. While next to him is his own brother’s land bearing survey no. 98, block no. 208. Both these land titles are identical. Now the land with block number 208 was applied to be converted to NA  in the year 2018. At that time, Mahendra Patel, as the Surat Collector, saw the title of the land and ordered the NA permission. He said that the land was of old condition and converted it to NA.

Now in the year 2023, Jayesh Patel applied for the land of Block No. 201 to be uncultivated, but the former Surat Collector and suspended IAS Ayush Ok said that the land was of a new condition and was eligible to pay the premium. Now at that time the petitioner met Chitnish Mamlatdar Jignesh Jivani. At that time, Jayesh Patel alleged that he asked for Rs 50 lakh in cash saying that he was going to send Rs 50 lakh to Ahmedabad. A written complaint has been made to the Additional Secretary and District Collector regarding this.
