SURAT : Surat has earned a place on the global technology map with local research scientist Dr. Pankaj Gandhi receiving a prestigious international invitation to contribute to the development of next-generation generative artificial intelligence models.
Dr. Gandhi has been invited by Alignerr, a global platform powered by Labelbox, to work on advanced AI projects aimed at improving the accuracy, reliability and capabilities of future artificial intelligence systems.
Alignerr is building an international network of scientists, researchers, engineers and subject-matter experts to create high-quality training data that can power more sophisticated AI models. Recognising Dr. Gandhi’s scientific expertise and research credentials, the platform has selected him to contribute to projects in critical domains including scientific simulations, finance and software engineering.
“This opportunity reflects the growing role of Indian researchers in shaping the future of artificial intelligence,” Dr. Gandhi said, expressing enthusiasm about collaborating on globally significant projects.
The work will be carried out on a flexible, project-based model, allowing experts from around the world to contribute to solving complex challenges while advancing AI innovation.
Technology observers say the selection is a significant achievement not only for Dr. Gandhi but also for Surat’s emerging reputation as a hub of scientific and technological talent.
“Building accurate and responsible AI requires expertise from multiple disciplines. The inclusion of researchers like Dr. Gandhi strengthens the quality of future AI systems,” a technology expert noted.
The international recognition of a Surat-based scientist highlights the increasing contribution of Gujarat’s talent pool to cutting-edge global research. It also underscores India’s growing influence in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence, where demand for domain experts continues to rise worldwide.
