Surat : Mumbai witnessed a grand wedding ceremony as Bollywood superstar Sunny Deol’s son, Karan Deol, tied the knot with Drisha on June 18th. However, it was the Mehndi ceremony held on June 15th that stole the spotlight, with Surat’s internationally acclaimed mehndi artist, Nimisha Parekh, adding her artistic touch to the festivities. Nimisha Parekh was specially invited by the Deol family to grace the occasion with her exquisite mehndi designs.

Surat’s pride, Nimisha Parekh, created stunning mehndi patterns on the hands of Sunny Deol, Karan Deol, Bobby Deol, and the entire Deol family, along with the special invitees present at the ceremony.

The Deol family, known for their modesty, surprised everyone as Sunny Deol himself participated in the Mehndi ceremony, showcasing the symbol of unity among all religions. Sunny Deol adorned his hand with mehndi designs depicting the Hindu-Muslim-Sikh-Christian brotherhood, symbolizing the harmony and happiness of his son’s marriage.

Nimisha Parekh’s artistic prowess is well-known both in India and abroad. Having trained over 350 mehndi artists in America, she received a personal invitation from the Deol family to be a part of this memorable occasion.

Reflecting on the invitation, Nimisha Parekh shared, “I received the invitation from the Deol family, especially Sunny Deol, for the mehndi ceremony. Sunny Deol, who usually refrains from applying mehndi, made a special decision to embrace it in celebration of his son’s marriage, symbolizing ‘Sarva Dharm Sambhav’—the respect for all religions.”

Sunny Deol’s mehndi design encompassed symbols representing Hinduism (Om), Islam (Moon), Sikhism (Khanda), and Christianity (Holy Cross). The media gathered outside Sunny Deol’s residence witnessed the actor proudly displaying his mehndi-covered hands, which sparked admiration for his inclusive ideology on social media.

Nimisha Parekh further revealed that Karan Deol applied mehndi with his future wife Drisha’s name, while uncle Bobby Deol adorned his hand with a symbol of love. Dipti Bhatnagar, a relative of the Deol family, chose to have a Shri Yantra design applied in her mehndi. The ceremony, attended by close relatives, also saw enthusiastic participation from women who eagerly adorned their hands with mehndi.

For Nimisha Parekh, this event holds a special place in her heart. She expressed, “This was an unforgettable experience for me, as mehndi represents more than just a design. It holds emotions, becomes a lifelong memory, and conveys the essence and fragrance of life.”

The Mehndi ceremony at Sunny Deol’s son’s wedding became a beautiful amalgamation of traditions, love, and the celebration of unity. Nimisha Parekh’s artistic skills and the Deol family’s inclusive gesture left an indelible mark, emphasizing the importance of embracing diversity and spreading joy through shared customs and celebrations.
