Shraddha Kapoor’s Palmonas Showroom Robbed in Surat

SURAT :  A high-profile jewellery showroom linked to Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor became the target of a pre-dawn theft in Surat’s Adajan area on Tuesday, triggering a major police investigation and concern among local traders.

The showroom of Palmonas, a jewellery brand co-founded by Shraddha Kapoor, was allegedly targeted in the early hours when an unidentified man broke the lock of the main shutter and entered the premises.

According to police, the accused then smashed glass display cases and escaped with jewellery. The entire incident was captured on the showroom’s CCTV cameras, with footage showing one person entering the premises and carrying out the theft.

The incident caused a stir in the locality, with senior police officials and teams from Adajan Police Station reaching the showroom soon after the theft was reported.

Adajan Police Inspector N.A. Chavda said the exact value of the stolen jewellery was yet to be determined.

“QR codes and barcodes are linked to the products in the showroom. We are matching the physical stock with the company’s software and inventory records. The exact quantity and value of the stolen jewellery will be known after the stock audit,” Chavda said.

Police and Crime Branch teams have secured CCTV footage from the showroom as well as cameras installed along major roads in the surrounding area. Investigators are examining the footage to establish the accused’s route before and after the theft.

More than three police teams have been formed to trace the suspect and determine whether he had accomplices waiting outside.

Investigators are also examining how the accused managed to open the shutter lock and whether the theft was planned in advance.

The police have launched a search operation to identify and apprehend the accused. Further details about the stolen jewellery are expected after the completion of the inventory verification.
