Maharashtra ACB issues lookout notice against businessman Jitendra Navlani in extortion case

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: A lookout circular (LOC) has been issued by Maharashtra’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) against businessman Jitendra Navlani alias Jitu Navlani, who was extorting money from the businessmen in the guise of Enforcement Directorate (ED) officer.

Maharashtra ACB had registered an FIR against Navlani under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act for extorting money from businessmen in the name of ED officials. Within 24 hours of the case, the LOC was issued against Navlani.

Sources said that Navlani had sensed trouble and he might have fled India. However, the Shiv Sena government has stated that Navlani managed to flee from India, backed by some powerful force.
