Guwahati: Over the last decade, aesthetic medicine in Northeast India has witnessed a quiet yet powerful transformation, led by ILLUMIS Aesthetic Clinic and its founder Dr Reema Das Mallik. What began as a humble clinical practice in 2015 has today evolved into a trusted multi-city aesthetic network, serving more than 13,000 clients across Guwahati, Kolkata, Naharlagun, Dibrugarh, Sibsagar, and Bongaigaon.

A Founder Built on Medical Depth and Ethical Aesthetics

Dr Reema Das Mallik is a nationally recognised injector and facial aesthetic expert with an academic foundation that includes MBBS, MD, and PGDCC. A former faculty member at ILAMED and a current faculty member with Allergan, her journey reflects a rare blend of medical rigour, teaching excellence, and ethical practice. When she founded ILLUMIS, her vision was clear: aesthetics should enhance individuality, not impose stereotypes. This philosophy continues to define the clinic’s approach to beauty, aging, and self-confidence.

Building a Multi-City Clinic Rooted in Trust

ILLUMIS has grown steadily, not through aggressive expansion, but through consistent outcomes and patient trust. The clinic offers comprehensive 360-degree solutions across skin, hair, laser, body contouring, and anti-ageing treatments. It is particularly known for advanced procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers, PRP, exosomes for skin and hair, laser therapies, medi-facials, peels, and both conventional and non-conventional aesthetic treatments. Each service is designed with a medical-first lens, ensuring safety, subtlety, and long-term skin health.

A Women-Led Ecosystem with Inclusive Values

A defining aspect of ILLUMIS is its people-first culture. The clinic primarily employs women professionals, creating opportunities for skilled female practitioners while remaining inclusive and welcoming to all genders. This internal culture reflects outwardly in patient care, where empathy, dignity, and informed consent remain central to every treatment journey.

Beyond Clinics: Social Impact and Community Engagement

ILLUMIS extends its purpose beyond aesthetics. The clinic has successfully organised “Unstoppable,” an initiative honouring women cancer survivors, with noted participation from Mahima Choudhury, and is preparing for its next season this year. It also instituted the Illumiere Excellence Awards, recognising inspiring women across Northeast India. Alongside these initiatives, ILLUMIS regularly conducts free medical check-ups at old age homes, orphanages, and religious institutions, reinforcing its commitment to healthcare accessibility and social responsibility.

Looking Ahead

As ILLUMIS continues to expand its reach into newer regions, its focus remains unchanged: ethical aesthetics, medical excellence, and personalized enhancement. For Dr Reema Das Mallik, growth is not about scale alone, but about ensuring that expert-led, trustworthy aesthetic care reaches every corner of the region.
