Bengaluru, India – With over three decades of experience in cricket coaching, athlete development, and performance management, Neilesh continues to play a significant role in shaping the careers of aspiring cricketers through his holistic approach to high-performance coaching. Currently serving as the Director of Cricket at Presidency Group of Institutions, he is dedicated to helping young athletes unlock their full potential through skill development, mental conditioning, strength training, and personalized mentorship.

A BCCI Level 2 and Coaching Beyond Advanced Level Certified High Performance Cricket Coach, Neilesh has built an impressive reputation in Indian cricket circles for his ability to identify, nurture, and guide talent at various stages of development. His qualifications extend beyond traditional coaching, encompassing Sports Psychology, Mindset Training, Human Movement Sciences, Strength and Conditioning, Biomechanical Analysis, Injury Management, First Aid, CPR, AED certification, athlete mentoring, and player pathway management.

Born in Kolkata and now based in Bengaluru, Neilesh’s journey has been defined by a commitment to excellence and continuous learning. Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions across several prestigious cricket academies, educational institutions, and sports organizations in India and abroad. His experience includes key roles with organizations such as BPICA, KCA, KIOC, SPCA, PNC, Gopalan Group, Presidency Group, Harvard House Cricket Academy, and Montford Cricket Club.

One of the defining aspects of his coaching career has been his contribution to the development of numerous First-Class, IPL, and junior-level cricketers. Over the years, he has mentored and guided players including Abhimanyu Mithun, Jaydev Unadkat, Sheldon Jackson, Avi Barot, Deepak Chougule, CM Gautam, Akshay SL, V Koushik, Gaurav Dhiman, Avinash KC, Dharmichand Mulewa, Alokendu Lahiri, and several junior state and representative cricketers who have progressed through competitive cricket pathways.

What sets Neilesh apart is his comprehensive and athlete-centric coaching philosophy. His programs focus on four critical pillars of athlete development: one-on-one skill and strength training, mindset and mental conditioning, performance and biomechanical analysis, and structured player pathway management. By integrating sports science with cricket-specific training methodologies, he ensures that athletes receive individualized attention designed to maximize performance while reducing the risk of injury.

Having also worked as a Performance Analyst with junior state teams and international squads, including teams from Bangladesh and England, Neilesh brings a global perspective to athlete development. His expertise in biomechanics and movement analysis enables him to provide detailed performance assessments that help athletes make measurable improvements in technique and efficiency. He is also a Qualified Match Referee, adding another dimension to his extensive understanding of the game from both developmental and regulatory perspectives.

Today, Neilesh is expanding his focus toward aspiring cricketers in the Under-16 and Under-19 age groups, offering specialized coaching programs aimed at representative-level players seeking professional advancement. In addition to cricket-specific training, he also provides strength and conditioning and mental conditioning support for athletes from other sports disciplines.

Available for both in-person and online Zoom sessions, Neilesh continues to work closely with young athletes, helping them navigate the challenges of competitive sport through structured development plans, performance monitoring, and long-term career guidance. His result-oriented approach, combined with a proven track record in skill development, athlete management, and player pathway creation, has made him a trusted mentor among aspiring cricketers and athletes.

As the demand for scientific, personalized, and holistic athlete development continues to grow, Neilesh remains committed to empowering the next generation of sports talent through knowledge, mentorship, discipline, and high-performance coaching excellence.
