Mahendrasinh Rathod, one of the social workers, declared, “Today, we both got shaved. I am a Kshatriya, yet I will not grow a mustache until the dead people get justice.” His words resonate with the deep pain and anger felt by the community, highlighting the victims’ right to accountability.

Kamlesh Parmar, another activist, reiterated the gravity of the situation, stating, “We pray for the departed souls and offer our condolences to the families. However, 14 innocent lives were lost due to negligence, and those responsible must be held accountable.” Their demands echo the sentiment of many who believe that the tragedy could have been prevented with proper safety measures and responsible oversight.

Parmar further emphasized, “The Home Minister’s statement about not releasing a chamarbandi (brave) is unacceptable. We demand a thorough investigation and registration of a murder case against the administrators of New Sunrise School and the government officials responsible.”
