Navsari : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs in Gujarat have been drawing controversial parallels between their constituencies and Israel to address issues of peace and tranquility, escalating tensions in local communities. One such incident has emerged in Navsari, where BJP MLA RC Patel, known to be close to Gujarat BJP chief CR Paatil, issued a threatening statement to the manager of a private educational institute.

In a video that has since gone viral, Patel is seen warning the institute manager in Matwad village, Jalalpore taluka, stating, “Yeh Samaj Le, Navsari Ka Israel Hai Yeh, Jab tak Shant Betha Hun Tab Tak Theek Hai, Yeh Sab Ukhad Dunga” (Keep this in mind, this is Israel of Navsari, Till I am calm it is okay, I will uproot this all). The threat followed complaints from villagers alleging that the institute was contributing to environmental issues by spreading filth and garbage in the area.

The educational institution in question, operating for the past two years in Matwad, offers preparation for competitive exams, including NEET, with around 150 students residing in its hostel. Villagers have long complained about the institute’s improper waste disposal practices, impacting public spaces and hindering local traditions such as Ganesh Visarjan.

Patel, scolding the institute manager, claimed that attempts to resolve the issues through the Talati or sarpanch had proven futile. He emphasized the community’s suffering due to the institute’s disregard for local concerns. The clash between villagers and the institute’s management has previously escalated to involve local law enforcement.

According to MLA RC Patel, the management’s refusal to address concerns raised by the Talati and sarpanch prompted the strong stance. He accused the institution of consistently dumping garbage and filth at the site of the annual Ganesha immersion, creating a foul smell that affects the entire village. Patel added, “We cannot tolerate people come from other states and harass our village people.”

In response, Dharmendra Kumavat, an administrator of the educational institution, refuted the allegations, claiming harassment without a clear motive. He stated that the institute is unaware of who may be behind the accusations and asserted that they are running the institution responsibly.
