Rockstar Games has officially opened pre-orders for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) worldwide, revealing Indian pricing ahead of the game’s launch later this year. Indian gamers can now pre-order the title on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with the Standard Edition priced at ₹5,999 and the Ultimate Edition available for ₹7,499.
Table Of Content
The announcement confirms months of speculation surrounding the game’s pricing after Rockstar earlier revealed that the standard edition would retail for $79.99 globally, marking a $10 increase over the previous $69.99 pricing adopted by most major AAA releases during the current console generation.
For Indian players, the confirmed ₹5,999 price tag places GTA 6 among the country’s most expensive game launches to date, though it remains within expectations considering recent premium releases.
Ultimate Edition Offers Additional In-Game Content
Players opting for the Ultimate Edition will receive a range of exclusive digital content beyond the base game. Rockstar says the premium version includes exclusive vehicles, weapons, outfits, tattoos, hairstyles, businesses, side missions, customization options, and additional gameplay experiences tied to protagonists Jason and Lucia.
Unlike typical deluxe editions that mainly offer cosmetic items, Rockstar has bundled several gameplay-focused additions that will be available throughout the game’s progression.
Pre-Order Bonus Confirmed
Rockstar has also announced a bonus for players who pre-order the game digitally before November 20, 2026, or purchase eligible physical editions while supplies last.
Eligible buyers will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, which includes:
- Classic Vapid Stanier vehicle
- Personal garage
- Exclusive outfits and hairstyles
- Tommy Vercetti-inspired weapon skin
The bonus will be available regardless of whether players purchase the Standard or Ultimate Edition.
Physical Edition Will Not Include a Disc
One notable change this year is Rockstar’s decision to ship physical retail copies with a digital download code instead of a game disc.
This means players purchasing boxed editions will still need to download the game digitally, while also limiting resale and second-hand exchange options traditionally associated with physical game copies.
Which Edition Should Players Buy?
For most gamers, the Standard Edition is expected to provide the complete GTA 6 experience, including the main story and open-world gameplay, along with the pre-order bonus.
The Ultimate Edition is aimed primarily at dedicated fans planning to spend significant time exploring the game’s world, offering additional exclusive content and customization features for an extra ₹1,500.
