AAP MLA Bhupat Bhayani Resigns Amidst Surat Controversy!

Surat :  Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Bhupat Bhayani, representing the Visavadar constituency, has resigned from both the party and the state assembly. This comes amidst swirling controversy surrounding a viral video in Surat that surfaced shortly after Bhayani’s election victory in 2022.

The video, purportedly captured by a CCTV camera at a hotel in Kadodara, Surat, shows Bhayani entering the hotel with an unidentified woman. Subsequent reports identified the woman as married, and the video allegedly depicts her husband confronting Bhayani and the woman in their hotel room. Bhayani is seen leaving the hotel with his face covered in an attempt to conceal his identity.

The viral video sparked intense discussions within political circles in Gujarat, raising questions about Bhayani’s conduct and casting a shadow over the AAP’s image. While the authenticity of the video remains unverified, Bhayani’s resignation has fueled speculation and fueled further debate.

Neither Bhayani nor the AAP leadership has officially commented on the reason behind the resignation.
