AHMNEDABAD: Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ), India’s largest integrated transport operator, reported a strong start to FY27, posting double-digit growth in revenue, profit and operating earnings. The company said its diversified business model and expanding global footprint helped drive robust performance during the April-June quarter.

For the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, APSEZ reported consolidated revenue of ₹10,821 crore, up 19% from ₹9,126 crore in the same period last year. Operating EBITDA also increased 19% to ₹6,541 crore, while net profit rose 10% year-on-year to ₹3,650 crore.

“Our Q1 FY27 performance underscores the strength of our diversified business model, combining global reach with a multi-modal asset base across geographies, commodities and customers,” said Ashwani Gupta, Whole-time Director and CEO of APSEZ.

He said the domestic ports business continued to be the company’s biggest earnings driver, while international ports, marine services and logistics have emerged as major contributors to revenue growth and profitability.

Domestic ports generated revenue of ₹6,964 crore, up 12% year-on-year, supported by higher cargo volumes of 115.3 million metric tonnes (MMT). APSEZ maintained an industry-leading EBITDA margin of 74% and reiterated its target of expanding domestic port capacity from 653 MMT to 1,000 MMT by 2030.

International operations delivered the strongest growth. Revenue from overseas ports surged 80% to ₹1,747 crore, while EBITDA jumped 256% to ₹730 crore. The performance was driven by the integration of NQXT Australia and higher cargo handling at Colombo Port.

The marine business also posted impressive numbers, with revenue rising 67% to ₹901 crore following fleet expansion and new international contracts, including projects in Europe and South America.

Despite the ongoing Middle East crisis affecting rail container volumes, APSEZ said its logistics business remained resilient, supported by strong growth in trucking and international freight operations.

“Our domestic expansion, growing international portfolio and rapidly scaling logistics ecosystem reinforce our confidence in achieving Ambition 2031,” Gupta said.

The company maintained its FY27 guidance of ₹43,000-45,000 crore in revenue and ₹25,000-26,000 crore in EBITDA. APSEZ also strengthened its financial position with a net debt-to-EBITDA ratio of 1.9x and recently secured a BBB credit rating upgrade from S&P Global Ratings, matching India’s sovereign rating.
