SURAT : Marking a significant milestone for Surat’s industrial community, the Sachin Industrial Co-operative Society Ltd. on Thursday inaugurated its newly constructed corporate-style headquarters in Sachin GIDC, symbolizing the growing strength and modernization of one of Gujarat’s key industrial hubs.
The new building, located opposite the water tank on Road No. 6, replaces the society’s earlier office that operated from the third floor of Arihant Complex. Built with financial support exceeding ₹2.5 crore from industrialists of Sachin GIDC, the facility has been designed to meet modern administrative and business requirements while also generating sustainable income for the society through commercial leasing.
The inauguration was performed by Choryasi MLA Sandeep Desai in the presence of a large gathering of industrialists and industry leaders.
“This new building is not just an office; it is a symbol of the vision and unity of Sachin GIDC’s industrial community. Modern infrastructure gives organizations the energy and confidence to work more effectively,” Desai said while addressing industrialists at the event.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several prominent industry representatives, including Pandesara GIDC President Kamalvijay Tulshyan, CETP Chairman Vinay Agarwal, former office-bearers, directors and members of the society. Industrialist Mitul Mehta, who played a key role in the project, was publicly felicitated for his contribution.
Speaking on the occasion, CETP-Sachin Chairman Vinay Agarwal praised the MLA’s support for industrial development. “Whenever industries face challenges, Sandeep Desai stands at the forefront to resolve them. His contribution to infrastructure and industrial growth in Sachin GIDC has been invaluable,” he said.
Desai highlighted several development initiatives undertaken in the industrial estate, including the allocation of government land worth ₹15 crore at a token price of ₹1 for security infrastructure, approval of a foot overbridge near Gate No. 2 to improve pedestrian safety, and road connectivity projects aimed at easing traffic congestion within GIDC.
He also noted that issues related to power infrastructure, traffic bottlenecks and industrial services have been addressed through coordinated efforts with various government departments.
Society President Kishore Patel said the new headquarters would strengthen administrative efficiency while ensuring long-term financial sustainability through rental income arrangements.
The inauguration reflects the continued transformation of Sachin GIDC into a modern industrial ecosystem, with industry stakeholders and public representatives working together to improve infrastructure, connectivity and business-friendly facilities for thousands of entrepreneurs operating in the region.
