On World Meditation Day 2026, Raseshwari Devi announced new meditation-focused initiatives intended to promote inner wellness and spiritual awareness among contemporary audiences dealing with stress, uncertainty, and digital overload. The announcements include a large-scale meditation hall in Odisha and a nationwide meditation camp in Haridwar expected to draw thousands of participants.
According to Braj Gopika Seva Mission, the proposed Yoga and Meditation Hall near Bhubaneswar will have a seating capacity exceeding 1,500 people and will host meditation workshops, spiritual retreats, yoga sessions, and educational activities throughout the year. The organization stated that the initiative aims to create a long-term community space dedicated to mindfulness, emotional balance, and self-discipline.
The importance of meditation has gained renewed attention in recent years as students, professionals, and families increasingly seek practical methods to cope with mental fatigue and emotional instability. Experts in both wellness and spiritual communities have highlighted meditation’s role in improving concentration, emotional regulation, and mental clarity. Within India’s spiritual traditions, meditation has long been regarded not merely as relaxation but as a disciplined process of inner development and self-realisation.
Raseshwari Devi Ji has spent more than three decades teaching Rupadhyana meditation and devotional philosophy connected to Sanatan Vedic teachings. Her programs frequently focus on balancing spiritual values with everyday responsibilities, making meditation relevant for younger generations navigating modern lifestyles. Through annual programs like Yuva Utthan Shivir and Bal Sanskar Shivir, the organization continues to engage students and youth in discussions around ethics, mindfulness, and cultural awareness.
The Mission has additionally announced a Mega Meditation Camp to be held from 11 June to 17 June 2026 in Haridwar, where approximately 2,500 participants from India and abroad are expected to attend. Organizers said the event will include guided meditation training, practical workshops, and discussions on applying meditation techniques in daily routines.
Born in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, Raseshwari Devi Ji pursued studies in Mathematics and English Literature before accepting Sannyas under Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj in 1988. Since then, she has conducted spiritual outreach programs across multiple Indian states and countries including the United Kingdom, Mauritius, Italy, Thailand, and Germany.
