Indiana University Shooting: Suspects Identified After Mass Shooting Near Campus

A mass shooting near Indiana University left at least nine people injured after gunfire erupted during celebrations of the annual “Little 500” cycling event, according to authorities.

The incident took place shortly after midnight on Kirkwood Avenue, a busy area just off campus where large crowds had gathered for post-event celebrations.

How the Shooting Unfolded

Bloomington Police Chief Mike Diekhoff said the violence began after a physical altercation between two women outside a restaurant.

During the fight, two male suspects allegedly pulled out handguns and opened fire in a crowded area, triggering panic and chaos.

The shooting reportedly occurred around 12:25 a.m., with bystanders caught in the crossfire and stampede that followed.

Suspects Identified

Authorities confirmed that:
