NEW DELHI: As global philanthropy leaders gathered in India for the first time for the AVPN Global Conference, the Adani Foundation hosted a welcome dinner for nearly 2,000 delegates at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, calling for stronger partnerships to turn social investment into lasting community impact.

The event marked the opening of the 13th AVPN Global Conference, organised by Asia’s largest social impact network. The gathering brought together philanthropists, policymakers and social sector leaders from India and abroad.

Adani Foundation Chairperson Dr. Priti Adani said lasting change depends on empowering communities and sharing successful approaches.

“The 30-year journey of the Adani Foundation has taught us that lasting change comes from empowering communities,” she said. “We must learn from each other’s successes and build strong partnerships that drive social impact to the bottom line.”

The event also highlighted the Foundation’s three decades of community work. Established in 1996, the Adani Foundation says it has reached more than 7,200 villages across 22 states and impacted over 1.3 crore people through initiatives in education, healthcare, livelihoods and environmental protection.

The Adani family has committed ₹60,000 crore towards healthcare, skill development and higher education. Plans include Adani Health Cities, featuring hospitals, research centres and medical colleges, with the first phase coming up in Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

The Foundation is also expanding programmes focused on eye care, vocational training, higher education and women’s entrepreneurship.

Dr. Priti Adani said India’s journey towards Developed India 2047 must ensure that economic progress creates opportunities for communities at the grassroots.

The AVPN partnership gives the Foundation an international platform to share its experience while learning from social-impact initiatives across Asia. The discussions are also expected to build on the call for a unified collaboration platform made during the 2025 AVPN conference in Hong Kong.
