Battery drain traced to Keyboard app
Users noticed unusually fast battery loss even during normal usage. After internal checks, Samsung identified its Keyboard app as the cause of the drain, affecting overall device efficiency on some Galaxy models.
Fix now rolling out
The company has issued an update via the Galaxy Store. Users are advised to install Samsung Keyboard version 5.9.30.81, which includes the fix for the battery drain issue.

Security update and next software release
Alongside this fix, Samsung has also started rolling out its April 2026 security patch, which addresses 47 vulnerabilities across CVE and SVE categories.
