Ahmedabad : Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the violence in Jammu & Kashmir, North-East and Naxal areas have brought down by 70 per cent in 10 years and the internal security of the country is to be strengthened. Shah said this at the inauguration of the historic Golden Jubilee edition of the All India Police Science Convention (AIPSC) at Raksha Shakti University, Dehgam in Gujarat on Tuesday.

While addressing a mammoth gathering at the All India Police Science Conference at Raksha Shakti University, Amit Shah said, “We have greatly improved the security situation in the three areas which were considered to be very disturbed over the years – Kashmir, North East and Naxal areas”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Gujarat. Amit Shah reached Ahmedabad airport on Monday.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the historic Golden Jubilee edition of the All India Police Science Convention (AIPSC) at Raksha Shakti University, Dehgam. Celebrating five decades of commitment to advancing Indian policing, the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) in collaboration with the National Defense University (RRU) is holding the 50th All India Police Science Conference (AIPSC) at the National Defense University on November 19 and 20, 2024. .

Shah said that the police of the country are joining a network. Internal security of the country is to be strengthened. We have to work in the direction of keeping the citizens safe in the country. Strengthening internal security is the need of the hour. By 2028, we will become the third largest economy in the world by undertaking efforts to modernise the police department. The country is progressing in every field. We have brought the country’s economy to 5th out of 11. The criminal justice system has changed.

“In the field of narcotics, about 5,45,000 kg of drugs with a market value of 35,000 Crore has been seized in the last one decade. This figure is 6 times more than the previous 10 years. It does not mean that the demand has increased, but we have done the confiscation in a scientific manner, so there has been success” said Shah.
