Ahmedabad : Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the violence in Jammu & Kashmir, North-East and Naxal areas have brought down by 70 per cent in 10 years and the internal security of the country is to be strengthened. Shah said this at the inauguration of the historic Golden Jubilee edition of the All India Police Science Convention (AIPSC) at Raksha Shakti University, Dehgam in Gujarat on Tuesday.

While addressing a mammoth gathering at the All India Police Science Conference at Raksha Shakti University, Amit Shah said, “We have greatly improved the security situation in the three areas which were considered to be very disturbed over the years – Kashmir, North East and Naxal areas”

The country is progressing in every field. We have brought the country’s economy to 5th out of 11. The criminal justice system has changed.

“In the field of narcotics, about 5,45,000 kg of drugs with a market value of 35,000 Crore has been seized in the last one decade. This figure is 6 times more than the previous 10 years. It does not mean that the demand has increased, but we have done the confiscation in a scientific manner, so there has been success” said Shah.
