One day mourning for Ratan Tata in Gujarat

National flag will be half masted throughout the state to pay tributes to Ratan Tata, on all buildings where it is flown regularly and there will be no official programme on the day.

Gandhinagar : The Government of Gujarat has declared State mourning for one day on 10 October in respect to Shri Ratan Naval Tata, a veteran industrialist who passed away last evening. National flag will be half masted throughout the state today, on all buildings where it is flown regularly and there will be no official programme on the day.

The message from the Chief Secretary to the DGP, Collectors, SPs, Police Commissioners, and Director of Information stated “Shri Ratan Naval Tata, veteran industrialist, passed away on Wednesday, 09-10-2024. As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, state mourning will be observed for one day (i.e., on 10-10-2024), and the national flag will be at half-mast throughout the state on 10-10-2024. The national flag will be flown at half-mast on all buildings throughout Gujarat state where it is flown regularly, and there will be no official programme on the day. Kindly inform all concerned.”
